Basic Policy with regards to Study and Training
Study and training at the Institute will be carried out not merely to impart knowledge, nor just to improve certain skills. Rather the purpose of such activity is to make it possible for associates, through their own efforts, to develop naturally their full human potential and their capability of becoming leaders. In line with this, the fundamental aim for the training at the Institute is for those enrolled to learn through their own initiative. The associates will be expected to seek out problems by themselves and also to resolve them by themselves. In the course of the training, the associates will be expected to seek universal knowledge and wisdom with an active and open mind, while experiencing the realities of the various aspects of today's society.

The second aim for the training is to make it possible for the participants to learn from one another. While it is important for those involved to study and think as individuals, it is also important for the associates to study together and to share their knowledge. In other words, through the pursuit of common objectives and the mutual exchange of ideas, and opinions, the associates will improve their knowledge and grow in wisdom.

The third aim is to emphasize variety in the course of study and avoid stereotyped approaches. Care will be taken to show due respect to the associates by giving full consideration to their personality and individuality.

While it is quite important for those who will lead Japan to have a healthy constitution, broad knowledge, and wisdom, it is even more important for them to develop a strong, healthy attitude toward life. This would entail developing confidence, a sense of responsibility, and the ability to put ideas into practice. The fourth aim of the study and training done at the Institute is to therefore, work toward achieving happiness for all the people by providing associates with an all-around character-building education involving moral, intellectual and athletic training.

Program of Study and Training
In accordance with the aims set forth above, the various training and study activities at the Institute will be conducted with full consideration given to the fact that while many things can be taught, there are also many things that associates have to learn for themselves.
