The career goals and ambitions of the associates are varied, with approximately half intending to enter electoral politics from a base in their home districts. Other fields popular with the associates include education, business management, journalism and mass communications. Several associates have also ventured into entrepreneurship themselves with their firms covering a wide range of activities.
At the Institute, the associates are involved in a wide range of research work, on-the-job training, and other participatory activities that serve to familiarize them with diverse spheres of living and thinking.
At the Institute we attempt to give due attention to all aspects of Japanese society and life. The results of our examinations are presented in wide variety of public and private forums in many different venus as well as publications distributed throughout Japan. It is our aim to foster co-learning between associates and the greater citizenry, keeping them closely connected by maximizing all traditional and emerging mediums of communication.
The associates are also involved in a number of overseas projects and international activities.
In fostering these overseas projects, the Institute deliberately seeks to nurture a global outlook in its associates and to prepare them for participation in international society.
There are not tuition fees at the Institute. All associates receive a monthly training allowance including living expenses.
